Your Ivy Leafs were in Newlowell on Thursday to take on the defending champ Knights. Your Leafs had a great pitching performance by second year pitcher Jarred Vanderpost. Vanderpost pitched a complete game, gave up 5 hits, had 9 strikeouts, 2 walks and 1 earned run. The leafs bats were not there we they needed them and they left 13 runners on base and eventually took the lost 3-2.
The Leafs tilt on Sunday against the Orangeville Giants was postponed due to really damp conditions at Victoria Park in Ivy. They are working on a rescheduled date later in May or Late July. We will let you know as soon as we have confirmed.
So far your Leafs are 1-1-0 and will travel up Hwy 400 to Midland on Thursday night for a date with the Midland Indians at 7 pm at Gord Dyment Park .
After Thursday your Leafs will then by participating in the Lisle Astros annual Victoria Day ball tournament in Lisle . They will take on the Bolton Brewers on Sat morning in Game 1 at 9 am. Depending on the result they will either play at 9 am or 1 pm on Sunday.

Your Ivy Leafs got 2016 off to a great start. The Bolton Dodgers were in town on Sunday to play the Leafs. The Leafs sent veteran right hander Brad Grieveson to the mound for the home opener and Brad pitch a complete game in getting the win. The Leafs hitters had their hitting shoes on today with a bunch of singles and double and homeruns from New Leaf Tyler Plumpton and grand slam from returning infielder Jeremy Fernandez. The Leafs took the game 11-0.
Leafs now travel to Newlowell on Thursday night for a 6:30 tilt with the defending champion Knights. They will then be back home on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm with a date against the Orangeville Giants

Opening day tomorrow for your Ivy Leafs in the 2016 NDBL season. The leafs take on the Bolton Dodgers at 3pm on Sunday May 8 in Ivy at Victoria Park. Your Leafs will then travel to Newlowell for a rematch with the defending Champions from 2015.
Come out and cheer on your new Leafs. A mix of some veterans returning from last year a eager interest from some Juniors moving up from lat years team. It will be an exciting season and your Leafs are eager to get things going in 2016.

The 2016 ball season is fast approaching. The Ivy Leafs have been getting in shape with some indoor winter workouts and hope to be practicing outside in the next week or so. The 2016 season gets under way for the Leafs on May 8 with a 3 pm first pitch against the Bolton Dodgers in Ivy at Victoria Park.
Come on out and see your new Leafs with a Veteran Line up with a crop of Junior Leafs mixed in to make this team competitive this year and we hope for a few more years from today as well.

Welcome to the Ivy Leafs Baseball Club.
A member of the North Dufferin Baseball League, the Leafs are one of the oldest baseball clubs in Canada, as our first pitch was thrown back in 1900.
In 2014, the Leafs reclaimed the Strothers Cup as NDBL Champions for the first time since the 2003 season. Newcomer Brad Grieveson tossed a complete game shutout as the Leafs downed the first-place Aurora Jays 1-0 in Game 6 of the NDBL Finals.
